The first of the year I sent several emails to our representatives concerning the problems we're having with Ron's VA claim. Today I received a call from Senator Johnny Isakson's office - and the Senator wants to help.
The VA process has been infuriating, agonizing, insulting, and down right maddening. If I have one more person at the VA to tell me to fax them something, then to follow up by saying it takes 4-6 weeks for faxed items to be scanned into the system - I think I'm going to scream.
It's horrific the way the VA treats our veterans - shame on them!
We hope Senator Isakson can help us. Thank you, Senator.
I know the frustration. Not with the VA, but with a variety of other sources. My husband had a liver transplant about 2 1/2 years ago and then had surgery for cancer about a year ago. The bills never seem to stop coming! I seem to always be on the phone with various providers or insurance folks. Medicare initially refused to pay the surgeons for the transplant because, their words....you can only have this procedure once every 12 months. After carefully explaining that is was his first liver transplant, and that is wasn't some routine yearly procedure, they finally paid up. What a pain. Hang in there. Your husband will get that liver and will feel SO much better.
